How to Brew French Press

The French press delivers a full-bodied, rich cup. A coarse grind and a four-minute steep are the secret.
What you need
- French press
- 35 g coarsely ground coffee
- 500 g water at 95 °C
- Timer
Steps
- Add coffee. Add 35 g of coarsely ground coffee to the pot.
- Pour. Add 500 g of hot water and stir briefly.
- Steep. Place the lid on and steep for 4 minutes.
- Press. Press the plunger down slowly and evenly.
- Serve. Pour immediately so the coffee does not over-extract.
