Behind the cup
Finca Río Colorado is located in western Honduras, in the area around Santa Rosa de Copán. The coffee grows at 1,400 to 1,650 metres and is fully washed after harvest. Honduras is now Central America's largest coffee producer, and cups like this one show why its coffees deserve a closer look.
It is sweet and clean, with notes of brown sugar, cashew and chocolate. A lively, bright acidity keeps the flavour fresh and makes every cup light and easy to drink. That makes it ideal for anyone who appreciates clarity without wanting an intensely fruity coffee.
We roast the beans light-medium and recommend them above all as a filter coffee. In a V60 or Kalita, sweetness and acidity come through beautifully, while in a drip machine it becomes an easy companion for the whole day. It also works well as a cold brew.
Finca Río Colorado is an everyday filter coffee: bright enough for the curious, sweet enough for anyone who likes things comforting. You can order it as whole beans or medium-ground for your filter.
