Grind size guide for coffee
The grind size determines how quickly water extracts flavour. Small changes make a big difference.
Tip 1
Espresso needs a fine grind.
Tip 2
Pour-over and V60 usually work with a medium grind.
Tip 3
French press and cold brew need a coarse grind.
Tip 4
If coffee tastes thin or sour, grind finer. If it tastes harsh or bitter, grind coarser.
