Brewing espresso at home
The most important levers for a balanced espresso: recipe, grind size, extraction and fresh beans.
Tip 1
Start with 18 g of coffee in the basket and 36 g of espresso in the cup.
Tip 2
The shot should take about 25-30 seconds.
Tip 3
If the espresso tastes sour, grind finer. If it tastes bitter, grind slightly coarser.
Tip 4
Freshly roasted beans usually need 7-14 days of rest after the roast date.
